Records and Information Management Resource List

Jim Booth, President, Prism International and John James O'Brien, Partner & Managing Director, IRM Strategies (Hong Kong) have long supported the Records and Information Management Resource List created by Alan S. Zaben by mirroring the site on their respective corporate websites. For some 7 years prior to relocating to Asia, the was mirrored by Interactive Straetgies, Inc. (ISIGlobal) John's British Columbian consultancy. As a condition of accepting a directorate post in the Hong Kong government, that company has remained dormant and the website is no longer active. Today, IRM Strategies provides access to the list here.

The publicly available Zaben list has not been maintained at source for a number of years. Project specific funding is necessary to undertake a complete revision. In the mean time, please feel free to provide a specific, verified correction of any item and we will update our version of the list.

To assist Alan Zaben and preserve the integrity of the list, John and his team invite your help in validating and updating the list. Concurrently, the content available on this site is being aligned with IRM Strategies' Knowledge Resource Development model and our commitment to the importance of authenticity in recorded information management. The result will be an important access point for links for domains such as organisational development, intellectual capital and knowledge management, learning community development and, of course, records maangement. We invite you to propose links for consideration and advise us of any inaccuracies or broken links.

On a personal note, we are considering Alan's query about taking on responsibility for developing the list. If so, we would retain (and maintain) the RM content while adding content that supports integration of domains such as knowledge resource development, organizational change and intellectual capital assessment. In the mean time, this version is not an exact mirror of the original list. We have started the process of verifying, updating and adding links. Reflecting IRM Strategies presence in Asia, we anticipate drawing on local knowledge to add links relevant to Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and more. We hope these are also of interest to global records managers--particularly senior practitioners who are working toward Intellectual Capital management. Please note that the Zaben list is somewhat dormant at this time. If you find a version citing the ISI Global mirror, you are looking at an old version.
